2017 Bhagavad Gita Global Convention will be held at University of California, Irvine on Sep 09 & 10, organized by Centre for Inner Resources Development-North America (CIRDNA).
The main theme of the Convention will be to present and discuss Bhagavad Gita as a historic text authored 5154 years ago by the ascetic Vyasadeva, describing the decline and fall of the Kuru dynasty, that ruled India for long. Gita is a dialogue that transpired to instill into Arjuna the necessary insight, resolve and stability to fight the battle, in which Arjuna’s own kith and kin had assembled on both sides. Krishna handles this plight and resolves it in such a masterly manner, that it has remained ever relevant to all life situations.
The convention will focus on the Universal Laws enunciated in the Text, and how this knowledge can help one in meeting challenges of life at the sensory, mental, emotional and intelligential levels. The program will provide powerful practical knowledge and insights. The discussions will be on the universal relevance of Bhagavad Gita, transcending the boundaries of religious, racial, and national identities.
