Harih Om Tat Sat. Paralam Grama Panchayat President Sri Sateep Joseph came to the Ashram and discussed with me the plight of those, holding the white ration card, who face difficulties in the matter of daily food, especially as the lockdown is extended again. He requested whether we can do something in the matter. I said “let us see”. Government has not been able to supply rice, either as desired or as expected. This has made the problem acute.
He suggested that we give 10 kgs of rice to each of such families, with some dal, sugar and tea. These were procured and packed in Tapovan Vihar. Today tokens will be distributed by the Panchayat to the proposed recipients, and tomorrow will be the distribution to the 15 wards of the Panchayat.
We are writing to the Inspector of Police, Cherpu, about the matter so as to ensure that the necessary disciplines are observed in the gathering of people and their receiving the kits in an orderly manner.
In Jamshedpur distribution of food had to be stopped in Ramnagar slum due to Corona incidents appearing there. As an alternative, grocery items were bought and brought to CIRD, packed into kits, and distributed to the families, who were being given food, to tide over the present crisis.
The other food distributions are still on.
Love and ashirvaad. Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha and Ma Gurupriya send loving good wishes.
