विश्वम्  viśvam The Universe.

2.

विष्णु: viṣṇuḥ The brilliance permeating  everywhere.

3.

वषट्कारः vaṣatkāraḥ The deity contemplated in sacrifice.

4.

भूतभव्यभवत्प्रभुः bhūta-bhavya-bhavat-prabhuḥ The Lord of past, present and future.

5.

भूतकृत् bhūtakṛt Cause of immobile and mobile existences.

6.

भूतभृत् bhūtabhṛt Sustainer of all beings.

7.

भावः bhāvaḥ Everything that is manifest.

शाश्वतः  śāśvataḥ The ever present, everlasting.

कृष्ण: kṛṣṇaḥ One who is black; The ever joyful.

लोहिताक्षः  lohitākṣaḥ With red-tinged eyes.

प्रतर्दनः  pratardanaḥ One who annihilates everything in the end.

वसु: vasuḥ The indweller of all.

वसुमनाः vasumanāḥ One possessing benevolent mind.

सत्यः satyaḥ One who is the Truth.

समात्मा samātmā One with equal vision (or, who is the same Self in all).

असम्मितः asammitaḥ One who cannot be determined.

109.

समः samaḥ One who is uniform at all times.

अमोघः amoghaḥ Worshipping whom will never be futile.

पुण्डरीकाक्षः puṇḍarīkākṣaḥ The lotus-eyed.

वृषकर्मा vṛṣakarmā One whose actions are propelled by Dharma.

वृषाकृतिः vṛṣākṛtiḥ One given to uphold Dharma.

 रुद्रो बहुशिरा बभ्रुर्विश्वयोनि: शुचिश्रवा: । अमृत: शाश्वतस्थाणुर्वरारोहो महातपा: ।। 13 ।।

रुद्रः rudraḥ One who is redresser of grief.

115.

बहुशिरा: bahuśirāḥ One with many heads.

116.

बभ्रुः babhruḥ One who supports the world.

117.

विश्वयोनिः viśvayoniḥ One who is the womb (cause) of the universe.

118.

शुचिश्रवाः śuciśravāḥ One with pure fame.

119.

अमृत: amṛtah The undying.

120.

शाश्वतस्थाणु: śāśvatasthāṇuḥ One who is perennially stable.

121.

वरारोह: varārohaḥ One representing the great ascent (varam ārohanam) the final abode. One who does not send back those who attain him.

122.

महातपाः mahātapāḥ One with greatest austerity (knowledge).

 सर्वग: सर्वविद्‌भानुर्विष्वक्सेनो जनार्दन: । वेदो वेदविदव्यंगो वेदांगो वेदवित्कवि: ।। 14 ।।

सर्वगः sarvagaḥ All-pervasive.

124.

सर्वविद्भानुः sarvavidbhānuḥ One who knows all and illumines all.

125.

विष्वक्सेनः viṣvaksenaḥ One who attacks bad things from everywhere.

126.

जनार्दनः janārdanaḥ One who torments the vicious. Also, one sought after by people.

127.

वेदः vedaḥ One in the form of Knowledge.

128.

वेदवित् vedavit The Knower of the Vedas.

129.

अव्यङ्गः avyaṅgaḥ One who is unmanifest (not reachable by the senses).

130.

वेदाङ्गः vedāṅgaḥ Having the Vedas as his limbs.

131.

वेदवित् vedavit Knowing the real purport of Vedas.

132.

कविः kaviḥ One who has poetic insight, all-knowing.

 लोकाध्यक्ष: सुराध्यक्षो धर्माध्यक्ष: कृताकृत: । चतुरात्मा चतुर्व्यूहश्चतुर्दंष्ट्रश्चतुर्भुज: ।। 15 ।।

लोकाध्यक्षः lokādhyakṣaḥ Lord of all the worlds.

134.

सुराध्यक्षः surādhyakṣaḥ Lord of the suras (devataas or heavenly denizens).

135.

धर्माध्यक्षः dharmādhyakṣaḥ Lord of Dharma.

136.

कृताकृतः kṛtākṛtaḥ One who is both effect and the cause (who transcends causality).

137.

चतुरात्मा caturātmā One who is the essence of His four-fold manifestation (jāgrat-svapna-suṣupti-tureeya).

138.

चतुर्व्यूहः caturvyūhaḥ One arraying wakeful, sleep, dream states as also the tureeya.

चतुर्दंष्ट्रः caturdaṃṣṭraḥ One with four protruding teeth (symbolic).

भोजनम् bhojanam One who is the food that nourishes.

भोक्ता bhoktā The partaker or consumer (enjoyer) of everything.

सहिष्णुः sahiṣṇuḥ One who is tolerant by nature.

145.

जगदादिजः jagadādijaḥ One who self-manifests at the beginning of the Universe.

146.

अनघः anaghaḥ One who is untainted by sin.

147.

विजयः vijayaḥ One who is victory personified.

जेता jetā Ever the victor.

विश्वयोनिः viśvayoniḥ One with universe as the womb.

वामनः vāmanaḥ Wise to launch any expedient measure, like Vamana.

प्रांशुः prāṃśuḥ With a size adequate to measure anything any time.

अमोघः amoghaḥ One whose actions never go in vain.

155.

शुचिः śuciḥ One who is Pure and purifies all those who beseech him variously.

156.

ऊर्जितः ūrjitaḥ One of extra-ordinary strength.

157.

अतीन्द्र: atīndraḥ One superseding Indra.

सङ्ग्रहः saṅgrahaḥ One capable of enfolding everything, when needed.

अग्रणीः agraṇīḥ He who leads the seekers to the desired abode.

ग्रामणीः grāmaṇīḥ He who leads the entire pancha-bhootas.

श्रीमान् śrīmān He who shines exquisitely.

न्यायः nyāyaḥ He who represents the path of inference leading to the Supreme Reality.

नेता netā He who revolves the wheel of worldliness.

समीरणः samīraṇaḥ He who activates all beings through the breathing process.

सहस्रमूर्धा sahasramūrdhā One with thousands of heads.

विश्वात्मा viśvātmā He who is the soul of the universe.

असंख्येयः asaṅkhyeyaḥ He who is beyond counting.

अप्रमेयात्मा aprameyātmā He who is beyond knowledge.

विशिष्टः viśiṣṭaḥ He who is the greatest.

शिष्टकृत् śiṣṭakṛt He who commands or protects the virtuous.

शुचिः śuciḥ He who is having no impurity.

252.

सिद्धार्थः siddhārthaḥ He in whom all objects are fulfilled.

सिद्धसङ्कल्पः siddhasankalpaḥ He who is able to achieve all he resolves upon.

सिद्धिदः siddhidaḥ He who is bestowing appropriate fruition and fulfilment.

सिद्धिसाधनः siddhisādhanaḥ He who showers achievement to the seekers.

वृषाही वृषभो विष्णुर्वृषपर्वा वृषोदर: । वर्धनो वर्धमानश्च विविक्त: श्रुतिसागर: ।। 28 ।।

वृषाही vṛṣāhī He who reveals righteousness like daylight.

वृषभः vṛṣabhaḥ He who is showering the desired objects.

विष्णुः viṣṇuḥ He who pervades as brilliance everywhere.

वृषोदरः vṛṣodaraḥ He whose stomach showers offsprings.

वर्धन: vardhanaḥ Given to ceaseless augmentation.

वर्धमानः vardhamānah Who multiplies in the form of the universe.

विविक्तः viviktaḥ Who remains distinct, unaffected.

श्रुतिसागरः śrutisāgaraḥ The ocean into which all scriptures flow.

सुभुजो दुर्धरो वाग्मी महेन्द्रो वसुदो वसु: । नैकरूपो बृहद्रूप: शिपिविष्ट: प्रकाशन: ।। 29 ।।

सुभुजः subhujaḥ With powerful arms to protect the world.

दुर्धरः durdharaḥ Who cannot be held or borne by any other.

वाग्मी vāgmī From whom emerges the scriptural articulation.

महेन्द्रः mahendraḥ Supreme being, Lord of Gods.

वसुदः vasudaḥ Bestower of wealth and affluence.

प्रतापनः pratāpanaḥ Who energizes the world with sun and other sources.

ऋद्धः ṛddaḥ With abundant excellences of Dharma, vairagya, etc.

स्पष्टाक्षरः spaṣṭākṣaraḥ Issuing forth sound and syllable in all clarity and audibility.

मन्त्रः mantraḥ Manifesting as spiritual and religious formulae.

चन्द्रांशुः candrāṃśuḥ He who is comforting moon to the mind scorched by worldliness.

भास्करद्युतिः bhāskaradyutiḥ He who is resembling the solar brilliance.

अमृतांशूद्भवो भानु: शशबिन्दु: सुरेश्वर: । औषधं जगत: सेतु: सत्यधर्मपराक्रम: ।। 31 ।।

अमृतांशूद्भवः amṛtāmśūdbhavaḥ He who is source of the nectarine lunar radiance.

भानुः bhānuḥ He who is ever shining.

285.

शशबिन्दुः śaśabinduḥ He who is having imprint of the hare (moon).

सुरेश्वरः sureśvaraḥ He who is the lord of heavenly denizens.

287.

औषधम् auṣadham He who is medicinal cure of all worldliness.

288.

जगतःसेतुः jagataḥsetuḥ He who is the causeway to go across the world ocean.

सत्यधर्मपराक्रमः satyadharmaparākramaḥ He who is valorous excellence born of truth and dharma.

भूतभव्यभवन्नाथ: पवन: पावनोऽनल:  । कामहा कामकृत्कान्त: काम: कामप्रद: प्रभु: ।। 32 ।।

भूतभव्यभवन्नाथः bhūtabhavyabhavannāthaḥ He who is the lord of the past, present and future.

पवनः pavanaḥ He who is purifying wind

पावनः pāvanaḥ He who is the power of motion in the wind.

अनलः analaḥ He who is smell-free, end-free, functioning as praana.

कामहा kāmahā He who exterminates desires.

कान्तः kāntaḥ He who is exquisitely beautiful.

कामः kāmaḥ He who is desired by all seeking the object of human life.

कामप्रदः kāmapradaḥ He who is liberally granting wishes of devotees.

प्रभुः prabhuḥ He who is the lord of all, surpassing one and all.

युगादिकृद्‌युगावर्तो नैकमायो महाशन:  । अदृश्यो व्यक्तरूपश्च सहस्रजिदनन्तजित्‌ ।। 33 ।।

युगादिकृत् yugādikṛt He who is the source, originator of yugas.

युगावर्तः yugāvartaḥ He who is the institutor of the four-yuga-cycle.

नैकमायः naikamāyaḥ He who is unleashing multiple (not one) illusions.

महाशनः mahāśanaḥ He who is consuming the whole creational display.

अदृश्यः adṛśyaḥ He who is not graspable by the senses or intelligence.

व्यक्तरूपः vyaktarūpaḥ He who is having perceptible form.

सहस्रजित् sahasrajit He who is the victor over thousands of enemies.

अनन्तजित् anantajit He who is endlessly victorious.

इष्टोऽविशिष्ट: शिष्टेष्ट: शिखण्डी नहुषो वृष:  । क्रोधहा क्रोधकृत्‌कर्ता विश्वबाहुर्महीधर: ।। 34 ।।

अविशिष्टः aviśiṣṭaḥ He who is the indweller in all as the inmost presence.

शिष्टेष्टः śiṣṭeṣṭaḥ He who is dear to the noble and enlightened.

शिखण्डी śikhaṇḍī He who is wearing peacock feather on the crown.

नहुषः nahuṣaḥ He who is binding people with illusory power.

वृषः vriṣaḥ He who rains the objects of desire.

क्रोधहा krodhahā He who is eradicating anger.

क्रोधकृत् कर्ता krodhakṛt-kartā He who is the destroyer of hatred-mongers.

विश्वबाहुः viśvabāhuḥ He who has arms extending to the whole universe.

317.

महीधरः mahīdharaḥ He who supports the earth.

अच्युत: प्रथित: प्राण: प्राणदो वासवानुज: । अपां निधिरधिष्ठानमप्रमत्त: प्रतिष्ठित: ।। 35 ।।

अच्युतः acyutaḥ He who is undeclining.

प्रथितः prathitaḥ He who is famous for his creative potential.

प्राणः prāṇaḥ He who is the one that animates and activates everything and all in creation.

प्राणदः prāṇadaḥ He who is the life-giver.

वासवानुजः vāsavānujaḥ He who is the younger brother of Indra.

अपां निधिः apāṃ nidhiḥ He who is the treasure house of water, namely the ocean.

अधिष्ठानम् adhiṣṭhānam He who is the substratum for everything.

अप्रमत्तः apramattaḥ He who is watchful to give fruits of activity to all.

प्रतिष्ठितः pratiṣṭhitaḥ He who is stable with His own greatness.

स्कन्द: स्कन्दधरो धुर्यो वरदो वायुवाहन:  । वासुदेवो बृहद्‌भानुरादिदेव: पुरन्दर: ।। 36 ।।

स्कन्दः skandaḥ He who is the ever-flowing nectar.

स्कन्दधरः skandadharaḥ He who is sustaining the righteous path.

धुर्यः dhuryaḥ He who is the ultimate forbearer of the world and its beings.

वरदः varadaḥ He who is the giver of boons.

वायुवाहनः vāyuvāhanaḥ He who is activating the wind in all its aspects.

वासुदेवः vāsudevaḥ He who is indwelling as well as encompassing all.

बृहद्भानुः bṛhadbhānuḥ He who is stupendously brilliant.

आदिदेवः ādidevaḥ He who is the primordial deity.

पुरन्दरः purandaraḥ He who is the destroyer of the cities of Asuras.

अशोकस्तारणस्तार: शूर: शाैरिर्जनेश्वर: । अनुकूल: शतावर्त: पद्मी पद्मनिभेक्षण:  ।। 37 ।।

तारणः tāraṇaḥ He who takes others across the sea of life.

तारः tāraḥ He who is imbuing strength to overcome all fears of life.

जनेश्वरः janeśvaraḥ He who is the Lord of all beings.

अनुकूलः anukūlaḥ He who is favourable to all, being the resident in them all.

शतावर्तः śatāvartaḥ He who is born several times (to protect dharma).

पद्मी padmī He who is holding lotus in His hand.

पद्मनिभेक्षणः padmanibhekṣaṇaḥ He who has lotus-like eyes.

पद्मनाभोऽरविन्दाक्ष: पद्मगर्भ: शरीरभृत्‌ । महर्द्धिर्ऋद्धो वृद्धात्मा महाक्षो गरुडध्वज: ।। 38 ।।

अरविन्दाक्षः aravindākṣah He who has lotus-like eyes.

पद्मगर्भः padmagarbhaḥ He who is to be worshipped in the lotus of one’s heart.

शरीरभृत् śarīrabhṛt He who is the nourisher of all bodies with food and nutrients.

महर्द्धिः maharddhiḥ He who is having abundant prosperity.

ऋद्धः ṛddhaḥ He who is always growing and expanding as the universe.

वृद्धात्मा vṛddhātmā He who is the ancient Self.

महाक्षः mahākṣaḥ He who is having huge eyes (all seeing power).

गरुडध्वजः garuḍadhvajaḥ He who is having Garuda (eagle) on his flag.

अतुल: शरभो भीम: समयज्ञो हविर्हरि: । सर्वलक्षणलक्षण्यो लक्ष्मीवान् समितिंजय: ।। 39 ।।

अतुलः atulaḥ He who has no equal.

शरभः śarabhaḥ He who is shining as the inner brilliance in all bodies.

भीमः bhīmaḥ He who is frightening, unleashing awe.

समयज्ञः samayajñaḥ He who is knower of time, hence of creation, preservation and dissolution.

हविर्हरिः havirhariḥ He who is partaking a share of yajnas and yagas.

सर्वलक्षणलक्षण्यः sarvalakṣaṇalakṣaṇyaḥ He who is indicated by all the characteristics.

लक्ष्मीवान् lakṣmīvān He who is coupled with the Goddess of prosperity.

समितिञ्जय: samitiṅjayaḥ He who is victor of battles.

विक्षरो रोहितो मार्गो हेतुर्दामोदर: सह:  । महीधरो महाभागो वेगवानमिताशन:  ।। 40 ।।

अमिताशनः amitāśanaḥ He who is devouring  the whole creation.

उद्भव: क्षोभणो देव: श्रीगर्भ: परमेश्वर: । करणं कारणं कर्ता विकर्ता गहनो गुह: ।। 41 ।।

उद्भवः udbhavaḥ He who is the source of the entire creation.

क्षोभणः kṣobhaṇaḥ He who is causing agitation by stirring prakṛti.

देवः devaḥ He who is spiritually effulgent.

श्रीगर्भः śrīgarbhaḥ He who hosts Sri in His womb.

परमेश्वरः parameśvaraḥ He who is the Supreme Controller.

करणम् karaṇam He who is the very instrument of entire creation.

कारणम् kāraṇam He who is the material as well as efficient cause.

व्यवसायो व्यवस्थान: संस्थान: स्थानदो ध्रुव:  । परर्द्धि : परमस्पष्ट: तुष्ट: पुष्ट: शुभेक्षण:  ।। 42 ।।

व्यवसायः vyavasāyaḥ He who is having resoluteness in everything.

व्यवस्थानः vyavasthānaḥ He who is the source of all order, system and sequence.

संस्थानः samsthānaḥ He in whom inhere existence and dissolution alike.

स्थानदः sthānadaḥ He who is bestower of the right place to one and all.

ध्रुवः dhruvaḥ He who is unassailable in every way.

परर्द्धिः pararddhiḥ He who is the ultimate prosperity.

परमस्पष्टः paramaspaṣṭaḥ He who is supremely self-effulgent.

तुष्टः tuṣṭaḥ He who is contented in every way.

पुष्टः puṣṭaḥ He who is fulfillingly abundant.

शुभेक्षणः śubhekṣaṇaḥ He who is with a glance bestowing all-fold welfare.

रामो विरामो विरजो मार्गो नेयो नयोऽनय:  । वीर: शक्त्तिमतां श्रेष्ठो धर्मो धर्मविदुत्तम:  ।। 43 ।।

रामः rāmaḥ He who is rejoicing and delighting alike.

विरामः virāmaḥ He who is the final recession and refuge for all.

विरज: virajaḥ He who is devoid of all sensory interests.

397.

मार्गः mārgaḥ He who is the path for liberation, sought by seekers.

नेयः neyaḥ He who is efficiently leading one to supreme freedom.

नयः nayaḥ He who is leader for spiritual enlightenment.

अनयः anayaḥ He who is having none to lead himself.

वीरः vīraḥ He who is valour personified.

शक्तिमतां श्रेष्ठः śaktimatāṃ śreṣṭhaḥ He who is the best among the strong.

धर्मः dharmaḥ He who is the power that sustains all.

धर्मविदुत्तमः dharmaviduttamaḥ He who is the best of those who know dharma.

वैकुण्ठ: पुरुष: प्राण: प्राणद: प्रणव: पृथु: । हिरण्यगर्भ: शत्रुघ्नो व्याप्तो वायुरधोक्षज: ।। 44 ।।

वैकुण्ठः vaikunthaḥ He who is subtle enough to overwhelm the panchabhootas.

पुरुषः purushaḥ He who is indweller in all bodies.

प्राण: prāṇaḥ He who is cosmic energy or life force.

प्राणदः prāṇadaḥ He who is instiller of cosmic power.

प्रणवः praṇavaḥ He who is the extolled and the supplicated.

पृथुः pṛthuḥ He who is extensive enough to permeate the entire universe.

हिरण्यगर्भः hiraṇyagarbhaḥ He who is the progenitor of the primordial womb.

शत्रुघ्नः śatrughnaḥ He who is exterminator of enemies.

व्याप्तः vyāptaḥ He who is pervading all beings and effects.

वायुः vāyuḥ He who is progenitor of smell.

अधोक्षजः adhokṣajaḥ He who is knowledge gained when senses recoil.

ऋतु: सुदर्शन: काल: परमेष्ठी परिग्रह: । उग्र: संवत्सरो दक्षो विश्रामो विश्वदक्षिण:  ।। 45 ।।

ऋतुः ṛtuḥ He who is manifesting as time that causes seasons.

सुदर्शनः sudarśanaḥ He who is of benedictory vision.

कालः kālaḥ The means of reckoning transitions.

परमेष्ठी parameṣṭhī He who is inhering in His own unsurpassable glory.

परिग्रहः parigrahaḥ He who is present everywhere and receiving offerings from devotees‌.

उग्रः ugraḥ He who is fierce and formidable.

422.

संवत्सरः saṃvatsaraḥ Wherein habitate all beings.

423.

दक्षः dakṣaḥ Dexterous in giving rise to expansion and causing expeditious performance.

424.

विश्रामः viśrāmaḥ He who is the refuge and asylum for the forlorn and distressed.

425.

विश्वदक्षिणः viśvadakṣinaḥ He who is more resourceful than universe.

विस्तार: स्थावरस्थाणु: प्रमाणं बीजमव्ययं । अर्थोऽनर्थो महाकोशो महाभोगो महाधन: ।। 46 ।।

विस्तारः vistāraḥ He who is extending to the entirety of universe.

स्थावरस्थाणुः sthāvarasthāṇuḥ He who is immovable and firm.

प्रमाणम् pramāṇam He who is the supreme proof by self-revelation.

बीजमव्ययम् bījamavyayam He who is the inexhaustible causal seed.

अर्थः arthaḥ He who is the joyfulness all seek alike.

अनर्थः anarthaḥ He who is free from need due to self-fulfilment.

महाकोशः mahākośaḥ He who is shrouded by great sheaths.

महाभोगः mahābhogaḥ He who is the enjoyer of exceeding bliss.

महाधनः mahādhanaḥ He who is possessing supreme wealth.

अनिर्विण्ण: स्थविष्ठोऽभूर्धर्मयूपो महामख: । नक्षत्रनेमिर्नक्षत्री क्षम: क्षाम: समीहन:  ।। 47 ।।

अनिर्विण्णः anirviṇṇaḥ He who is un-depressed due to overwhelming fullness.

स्थविष्ठः sthaviṣṭhaḥ He who is unmovingly seated bearing the visible creation.

अभूः abhūḥ He who is uncaused and unborn.

438.

धर्मयूपः dharmayūpaḥ He who is the spiritual staff binding all ethics and laws.

439.

महामखः mahāmakhaḥ He who is reigning as the wish-yielder of all sacrifices.

नक्षत्रनेमिः nakṣatranemiḥ He who is the rim of the wheel holding all celestial bodies.

441.

नक्षत्री nakṣatrī He who is the lunar brilliance outshining all stars.

442.

क्षमः kṣamaḥ He who is incessantly dexterous, tolerant.

443.

क्षामः kṣāmaḥ He who is resting in the remainder, at the end of all transformations.

समीहनः samīhanaḥ He who is wishing welfare for everything and all.

यज्ञ इज्यो महेज्यश्च क्रतु: सत्रं सतां गति: । सर्वदर्शी विमुक्तात्मा सर्वज्ञो ज्ञानमुत्तमम्‌  ।। 48 ।।

यज्ञः yajñaḥ He who is of the nature of sacrifice, the source of existence and expression.

महेज्यः mahejyaḥ He who is the loftiest of those to be worshipped by yagas.

सुव्रत: suvrataḥ He who is with benign and benevolent vow.

सुमुख: sumukhaḥ Having exquisitely beautiful face.

सूक्ष्म: sūkṣmaḥ He who is the subtle source of all gross and perceptible phenomena.

सुघोष: sughoṣaḥ With astounding Vedic utterance.

सुखद: sukhadaḥ Bestower of delight to the good and noble.

460.

सुहृत् suhṛt Benefactor, without reciprocal expectation.

मनोहर: manoharaḥ He who is with blissfulness that captivates the mind.

जितक्रोध: jitakrodhaḥ He who has mastery over anger.

वीरबाहु: vīrabāhuḥ He who is having valorous hands.

विदारण: vidāraṇaḥ He who is the render of the wicked and vicious.

स्वापन: स्ववशो व्यापी नैकात्मा नैककर्मकृत्‌ । वत्सरो वत्सलो वत्सी रत्नगर्भो धनेश्वर: ।। 50 ।।

स्वापन: swāpanaḥ He who is the Mystifier.

स्ववश: svavaśaḥ One with full sovereignty.

व्यापी vyāpī He who is permeating everywhere, everything.

कृतलक्षण: kṛtalakṣaṇaḥ He who generates ample characteristics to reveal His presence.

गभस्तिनेमि: सत्त्वस्थ: सिंहो भूतमहेश्वर: । आदिदेवो महादेवो देवेशो देवभृद्‌गुरु: ।। 52 ।।

सर्वासुनिलय: sarvāsunilayaḥ In whom all vital forces merge.

अनल: analaḥ He who has unlimited wealth and power.

712.

दर्पहा darpahā Who destroys the pride of the unrighteous.

713.

दर्पद: darpadaḥ He who imbues self-respect to the ones, that pursue righteousness in their life.

714.

दृप्त: dṛptaḥ One ever satisfied with the ceaseless delight arising from his own pure Self.

715.

दुर्धर: durdharaḥ One extremely hard to bear in one’s mind and heart and contemplate upon, as he is devoid of all kinds of adjuncts.

716.

अपराजित: aparājitaḥ Not subdued by inner enemies – attachment, delusion and the like – as also outer ones – demons etc.

विश्वमूर्तिर्महामूर्तिर्दीप्तमूर्तिरमूर्तिमान्‌ । अनेकमूर्तिरव्यक्त: शतमूर्ति: शतानन: ।। 77 ।।

विश्वमूर्ति: viśvamūrtiḥ Who has the entire universe as his body.

महामूर्ति: mahāmūrtiḥ One with a majestic, amazing form lying in the milky ocean on the bed of a huge serpent, called Aadishesha.

दीप्तमूर्ति:‌ dīptamūrtiḥ With an effulgent form constituted by knowledge.

अमूर्तिमान् amūrtimān Devoid of embodiment resulting from the effects of karma, activity.

अनेकमूर्ति: anekamūrtiḥ Who assumes numerous bodies as displayed by creation and plural existence.

अव्यक्त: avyaktaḥ Who cannot be identified as any one in particular, though he is displayed in many forms.

शतमूर्ति: śatamūrtiḥ Who assumes various imaginary forms for contemporary objectives, though himself is form-free Consciousness itself.

शतानन: śatānanaḥ Who is with hundred faces, meaning who takes on many a form.

एको नैक: सव: क: किं यत्तत्पदमनुत्तमम्‌ । लोकबन्धुर्लोकनाथो माधवो भक्तवत्सल: ।। 78 ।।

एक: ekaḥ One who does not admit any internal or external differences as the sensory perceptions make us think.

726.

नैक: naikaḥ One who has umpteen bodies created by illusion.

सव: savaḥ Who is the Yajña wherein the Soma juice is extracted.

क: kaḥ 'Kah' means happiness, hence the source of happiness as well, meaning one who consists of joy.
729. किम् kim That about which the enquiry as to what That or He is always prevails, evoking ceaseless contemplation.

यत् yat From where or what all expressions and extensions proceed, hence to which all enquiries in one way or another relate to.

731.

तत् tat That which all enquiries and enquirers always are bound to reach.

732.

पदमनुत्तमम् padāmanuttamam That abode which is superlative in every way, which all seekers of moksha aim at and reach, for redressing their needs and gaining fulfilment.

लोकबन्धु: lokabandhuḥ The exclusive friend of the whole world

734.

लोकनाथ: lokanāthaḥ Lord and refuge of the entire world.

735.

माधव: mādhavaḥ One belonging to the lineage of Madhu.

736.

भक्तवत्सल: bhaktavatsalaḥ Who loves all devotees without exception.

सुवर्णवर्णो हेमांगो वरांगश्चन् नांगदी । वीरहा विषम: शून्यो घृताशीरचलश्चल: ।। 79 ।।

737. सुवर्णवर्ण: suvarṇavarṇaḥ Having golden hue.
738. हेमांग: hemāṅgaḥ One whose body as a whole is golden.
739. वरांग: varāṅgaḥ Having auspicious hands, feet, face, chest and other parts.
740. चन्दनांगदी candanāṃgadī One wearing adornments like armlets, radiating cool delight.
741. वीरहा vīrahā One destroying wicked heroes (Viras) (like Hiranyakashipu).
742. विषम: vīṣamaḥ Who has no equal.
743. शून्य: śūnyaḥ Who, devoid of attributes, is thought of as nothing, like space.
744. घृताशी: ghṛtāśīḥ Who sheds unfailing benediction.
745. अचल: acalaḥ Who has no movement or activity in him because of his omnipresence.
746. चल: calaḥ Who causes and hence has multiple movements and activities or he who moves like air.

अमानी मानदो मान्यो लोकस्वामी त्रिलोकधृक् । सुमेधा मेधजो धन्य: सत्यमेधा धराधर: ।। 80 ।।

747. अमानी amānī Who is free from any sense of ego, being pure and omnipresent.
748. मानदः mānadaḥ Who by dwelling in all bestows respectability to them. Or, he who by his Maayaa generates ego in living beings.
749. मान्यः ‌ mānyaḥ Who by virtue of His infinitude becomes the most venerable.
750. लोकस्वामी lokasvāmī Who is Lord of all the worlds.
751. त्रिलोकधृक् trilokadhṛk Who sustains the three spheres of wakefulness, sleep and dream.
752. सुमेधा: sumedhāḥ Who has immensely beautiful and bright intelligence.
753. मेधजः medhajaḥ Whose nature as well as source is pure Intelligence.
754. धन्यः dhanyaḥ Who is ever self-fulfilled.
755. सत्यमेधा: satyamedhāḥ Who has infallible intelligence.
756. धराधरः dharādharaḥ Who sustains the whole Earth merely by his fraction, as He is indescribably infinite.

तेजोवृषो द्युतिधर: सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वर: । प्रग्रहो निग्रहो व्यग्रो नैकशृंगो गदाग्रज: ।। 81 ।।

757. तेजोवृषः tejovṛṣaḥ Who by shedding heat and brilliance as the sun, causes rains through clouds.
758. द्युतिधरः dyutidharaḥ Who always bears splendor dispelling darkness and ignorance.
759. सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वरः sarva-śastra-bhṛtāṃ-varaḥ Who is the best of all wielding weapons.
760. प्रग्रहः pragrahaḥ Who delightfully accepts all the offerings of devotees.
761. निग्रह: nigrahaḥ Who intrinsically devours everything.
762. व्यग्र: vyagraḥ Who assiduously attends to every task.
763. नैकशृङग: naikaśṛṅgaḥ Who has four, not one, horns.
764. गदाग्रज: gadāgrajaḥ Who is ever self-fulfilled.

चतुर्मूर्तिश्चतुर्बाहुश्चतुव्यूहश्चतुर्गति: । चतुरात्मा चतुर्भावश्चतुर्वेदविदेकपात् ।। 82 ।।

765. चतुर्मूर्ति: caturmūrtiḥ Who is at once the Virāt, the Sūtrātma, Avyākṛta, and Turīya (four forms).
766. चतुर्बाहु: caturbāhuḥ Who is with four arms, as Mahavishnu is always described.
767. चतुर्व्यूह: caturvyūhaḥ Who displays jāgrat, suṣupti, svapna and turīya.
768. चतुर्गति: caturgatiḥ Who is the sole object of four ashramas as well as varnas of life.
769. चतुरात्मा caturātmā Who is dexterous in designing and performing anything any time anywhere.
770. चतुर्भाव: caturbhāvaḥ Who embodies all the four aspects of dharma, artha, kāma and moksha.
771. चतुर्वेदवित् caturvedavit Who knows all the four Vedas, namely Rik, Yajus, Sāma and Atharva.
772. एकपात् ekapāt Who has the whole existence as one foot, indicating that the entire endless creation is yet negligible before Him.

समावर्तोऽनिवृत्तात्मा दुर्जयो दुरतिक्रम: । दुर्लभो दुर्गमो दुर्गो दुरावासो दुरारिहा ।। 83 ।।

773. समावर्त: samāvartaḥ Who rotates the wheel of Samsara.
774. अनिवृत्तात्मा anivṛttātmā Who, due to his omnipresence, does not recede from anything any time.
775. दुर्जय: durjayaḥ Who is impossible to be subdued or conquered.
776. दुरतिक्रम: duratikramaḥ Who cannot be exceeded or circumvented by even sun and other celestial bodies.
777. दुर्लभ: durlabhaḥ Who can be attained only by exclusive devotion, which is hard to gain.
778. दुर्गम: durgamaḥ Who is hard to reach, due to His inwardness and subtle nature.
779. दुर्ग: durgaḥ Who is hard to attain, because of our senses, which can only pull us outward.
780. दुरावास: durāvāsaḥ Whom Yogis alone with hard effort can bring to dwell in their heart, within.
781. दुरारिहा durārihā Who exterminates demoniacal beings.

शुभांगो लोकसारंग: सुतन्तुस्तन्तुवर्धन: । इन्द्रकर्मा महाकर्मा कृतकर्मा कृतागम: ।। 84 ।।

782. शुभांग: śubhāṅgaḥ He whose form is delightful and auspicious to contemplate on.
783. लोकसारंग: lōkasāraṅgaḥ Who takes the essence of the world, as does the Saaranga, honey sucking beetle.
784. सुतन्तु: sutantuḥ Who is the string by which everything in creation is strung.
785. तन्तुवर्धन: tantu-vardhanaḥ Who holds the power to enhance the network of the world any time.
786. इन्द्रकर्मा indra-karmā Whose activities, like Indra’s, are amazing and laudable.
787. महाकर्मा mahākarmā Who instruments the endless creation, which includes the unsurpassable sky, space.
788. कृतकर्मा kṛtakarmā Who is ever fulfilled and has nothing further to gain or lose.
789. कृतागम: kṛtāgamaḥ Who has originated and gifted the Agamas, Vedas.

उद्भव: सुन्दर: सुन्दो रत्ननाभ: सुलोचन: । अर्को वाजसन: शृंगी जयन्त: सर्वविज्जयी ।। 85 ।।

790. उद्भव: udbhavaḥ Who is the sole indisputable source of all inanimate and animate creations.
791. सुन्दर: sundaraḥ Who is exquisitely beautiful, excelling all else.
792. सुन्द: sundaḥ Who is exceedingly soft and tender.
793. रत्ननाभ: ratna-nābhaḥ Who has enchanting navel.
794. सुलोचन: sulocanaḥ Who has fascinating, brilliant eyes.
795. अर्क: arkaḥ Whom Brahma, who is himself adored, worships fondly.
796. वाजसन: vājasanaḥ Who feeds and nourishes those who beseech Him.
797. श्रृंगी śṛṅgī Who in the form of fish floated in Pralaya waters with pronounced antenna.
798. जयन्त: jayantaḥ Who is ever victorious over enemies.
799. सर्वविज्जयी sarvavijjayī Who being all-knower, subdues all inner and outer adverse forces, and hence is the well-known paramount victor.

सुवर्णबिन्दुरक्षोभ्य: सर्ववागीश्वरेश्वर: । महाहृदो महागर्तो महाभूतो महानिधि: ।। 86 ।।

800. सुवर्णबिन्दु: suvarṇabinduḥ Whose bodily cells and limbs radiate golden effulgence.
801. अक्षोभ्य: akṣobhyaḥ Who is free from agitation caused by inner passions as well as sensory attractions, as also demoniacal adversaries.
802. सर्ववागीश्वरेश्वर: sarva-vāgīśvareśvaraḥ Who is the Lord of all great teachers of knowledge, like Brahma.
803. महाहृद: mahāhradaḥ Who is the great, unparallelled inner lake of the Supreme Self, where Yogis and Knowers bathe and float with spiritual ecstasy.
804. महागर्त: mahāgartaḥ Who is the huge hole of Maya, too difficult to surmount.
805. महाभूत: mahābhūtaḥ Whom time does not affect with the threefold division of past, present and future.
806. महानिधि: mahānidhiḥ Who is the great as well as the treasure, by realizing Him one becomes immensely great and resourceful.

कुमुद: कुन्दर: कुन्द: पर्जन्य: पावनोऽनिल: । अमृताशोऽमृतवपु: सर्वज्ञ: सर्वतोमुख: ।। 87 ।।

807. कुमुद: kumudaḥ Who bestows delight (muda) to earth (ku) by relieving her of the burden of wicked people.
808. कुन्दर:

kuṅdaraḥ

Who showers blessings, like the jasmine flower spreads its fragrance.
809. कुन्द: kuṅdaḥ Whose limbs are supple and comely like Jasmine (Kunda).
810. पर्जन्य: parjanyaḥ Who, like cloud, redresses the heat of the threefold sufferings (psycho-intellectual, material and Providential), also sheds like rain the objects of desire.
811. पावन: pāvanaḥ Who, when remembered, purifies devotees.
812. अनिल: anilaḥ Who is without sleep (Ilana); who is above all impulsions (Ilanam), due to his ever-watchfulness.
813. अमृताश: amṛtāśaḥ Who enjoys Amruta, immortal bliss, which is his nature.
814. अमृतवपु: amṛtavapuḥ Whose form is imperishable, immortal.
815. सर्वज्ञ: sarvajñaḥ Who is all-knowing, omniscient.
816. सर्वतोमुख: sarvatōmukhaḥ Who has faces in all directions.

सुलभ: सुव्रत: सिद्ध: शत्रुजिच्छत्रुतापन: । न्यग्रोधोदुंबरोऽश्वत्थश्चाणूरान्ध्रनिषूदन: ।। 88 ।।

817. सुलभ: sulabhaḥ Who is attained easily by offering anything one can or oneself.
818. सुव्रत: suvrataḥ Who enjoys pure offerings, not expensive ones.
819. सिद्ध: siddhaḥ Who, being omnipotent, is self-fulfilled.
820. शत्रुजित्‌ śatrujit Who overcomes all enemies and evil.
821. शत्रुतापन: śatrutāpanaḥ Who torments the enemies of goodness and righteousness.
822. न्यग्रोध: nyagrodhaḥ Who, being on top of all, grows downward alone; who keeps everything below himself and reigns supreme.
823. उदुम्बर: udumbaraḥ Who, being the ultimate cause, reigns even above the sky, space.
824. अश्वत्थ: aśvatthaḥ Who, as manifest creation, is ever-fleeting, not even lasting till tomorrow.
825. चाणूरान्ध्र-निषूदन: cāṇūrāndhra-niṣūdanaḥ Who slayed even the mighty fighter Chanūra of the Andhra clan.

सहस्रार्चि: सप्तजिह्व:सप्तैधा: सप्तवाहन: । अमूर्तिरनघोऽचिन्त्यो भयकृ्द्‌भयनाशन:‌ ।। 89 ।।

826. सहस्रार्चि: sahasrārciḥ One with thousands of luminous rays.
827. सप्तजिह्व: sapta-jihvaḥ Who as fire, has seven moving tongues.
828. सप्तैधा: saptaidhāḥ Who in his manifestation as fire has seven scintillations.
829. सप्तवाहन: saptavāhanaḥ Who in the form as Sun has seven horses as his vehicles.
830. अमूर्ति: amūrtiḥ Who is devoid of any solid form, being subtle and all-pervading.
831. अनघ: anaghaḥ Who is free of all sins and consequent sorrows.
832. अचिन्त्य: acintyaḥ Who cannot be approached or determined by any thought process, as He precedes and propels the mind and ideas.
833. भयकृत्‌ bhayakṛt Who causes fear in the wicked.
834. भयनाशन: bhaya-nāśanaḥ Who redresses the fears of the good and noble.

अणुर्बृहत्कृश: स्थूलो‌ गुणभृन्निर्गुणो महान् । अधृत: स्वधृत: स्वास्य: प्राग्वंशो वंशवर्धन:‌ ।। 90 ।।

835. अणु: aṇuḥ Who is exceedingly subtle.
836. बृहत् bṛhat Who is mighty and magnificent.
837. कृश: kṛśaḥ Who is extremely thin, fine, supramaterial.
838. स्थूल: sthūlaḥ Who, pervading subtly in all the gross forms, is considered also as greatly gross.
839. गुणभृत् guṇabhṛt Who, is the source and sustenance of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, the three Gunas, which bring about creation, preservation and dissolution.
840. निर्गुण: nirguṇaḥ Who is not involved in the Gunas, which belong to and constitute Prakṛti.
841. महान् mahān The majestic, magnificent.
842. अधृतः adhṛtaḥ Who supports all, like Panchabhootas, but who is not supported.
843. स्वधृतः svadhṛtaḥ Who rests on and is sustained by Himself.
844. स्वास्यः svāsyaḥ Whose face is enchantingly red like the inside of lotus.
845. प्राग्वंशः prāgvaṃśaḥ Who precedes all lineages in creation, unlike all the lineages we can think of.
846. वंशवर्धनः vaṃśavardhanaḥ Who enhances, adds to and reduces any and all lineages or their process in the world.

भारभृत्कथितो योगी योगीश: सर्वकामद: । आश्रम: श्रमण: क्षाम: सुपर्णो वायुवाहन:‌ ।। 91 ।।

847. भारभृत् bhārabhṛt Who, in fact, forbears the weight of everything and all created and preserved.
848. कथितः kathitaḥ Who is described, defined and praised by all, including the immortal Vedas.
849. योगी yogī Who is always fused into, united with, Himself, His creation and manifestation, and hence remains a Yogi ceaselessly.
850. योगीशः yogīśaḥ Who is the Lord and Emperor of all Yogis, due to His omniscient nature. Knowledge is the content of Real Yoga and Yogic process.
851. सर्वकामदः sarvakāmadaḥ Who showers all desired results and outcomes.
852. आश्रमः āśramaḥ Who provides rest to all, fatigued by travelling in the fierce woods of worldliness.
853. श्रमणः śramaṇaḥ Who puts to tribulations those who live without viveka (discrimination).
854. क्षामः kṣāmaḥ Who leads beings to decline and disappearance.
855. सुपर्णः suparṇaḥ Who is the manifest tree of worldliness, with brilliant leaves, revealing its true nature, instilling the power of discrimination.
856. वायुवाहनः vāyuvāhanaḥ For whom the vehicle for movement is air.

धनुर्धरो धनुर्वेदो दण्डो दमयिता दम: । अपराजित: सर्वसहो नियन्ता नियमोऽयम:‌ ।। 92 ।।

857. धनुर्धरः dhanurdharaḥ Who, as Rama, wears the powerful bow.
858. धनुर्वेदः dhanurvedaḥ Who alone, as Rama, is manifest as the science of archery.
859. दण्ड: daṇḍaḥ Who is the rod of chastisement, to keep the erring and wicked ones under proper check and balance.
860. दमयिता damayitā Who administers punishment to the deserving, as Yama, the Lord of Death.
861. दमः damaḥ Who applies the necessary discipline in the form of self-restraint.
862. अपराजितः aparājitaḥ Who is indefatigable to enemies.
863. सर्वसहः sarvasahaḥ Who is given to forbearing all kinds of actions by people.
864. नियन्ता niyantā Who keeps every one in his respective role, promoting world welfare.
865. अनियमः aniyamaḥ Who is not subject to any one’s will or force in any matter.
866. अयमः ayamaḥ Who has no death or extinction, and hence on whom Yama has no control.

सत्त्ववान्सात्त्विक: सत्य: सत्यधर्मपरायण: । अभिप्राय: प्रियार्होऽर्ह: प्रियकृत्प्रीतिवर्धन:‌ ।। 93 ।।

867. सत्त्ववान् sattvavān Who has abundant strength to be valorous, unyielding and supreme.
868. सात्त्विकः sāttvikaḥ Who is essentially pure and hence most powerful.
869. सत्यः satyaḥ Who inheres in goodness and benevolence.
870. सत्यधर्मपरायणः satyadharma-parāyaṇaḥ Who is most given to truthfulness and propriety.
871. अभिप्रायः abhiprāyaḥ Who is sought by such people as are given to the eternal values, the objects of human pursuit.
872. प्रियार्हः priyārhaḥ To whom things one likes most are the best offering to be made.
873. अर्हः arhaḥ Who is worthy to be worshipped with prostration, decoration and adoration, etc.
874. प्रियकृत् priyakṛt Who is out to do what is beneficial and dear to the worshippers.
875. प्रीतिवर्धनः prītivardhanaḥ One who widens the devotees’ delights.

विहायसगतिर्ज्योति: सुरुचिर्हुतभुग्विभु: । रविर्विरोचन: सूर्य: सविता रविलोचन:‌ ।। 94 ।।

876. विहायसगतिः vihāyasagatiḥ One who travels through the sky, space.
877. ज्योतिः jyotiḥ Whose nature is luminous, with the inherent power of revealing the other things as well as oneself.
878. सुरुचिः suruciḥ Whose luminosity is auspicious.
879. हुतभुक् hutabhuk Who partakes of all the offerings made to sacrificial fire.
880. विभुः vibhuḥ Who has the power of dwelling everywhere and in everything.
881. रविः raviḥ Who as sun draws all fluids with their tastes.
882. विरोचनः virocanaḥ Who shines in manifold ways.
883. सूर्यः sūryaḥ Who inspires everybody to be active.
884. सविता savitā Who delivers the entire world.
885. रविलोचनः ravilocanaḥ Who has sun as his eye.

अनन्तो हुतभुग्भोक्ता सुखदो नैकजोऽग्रज: । अनिर्विण्ण: सदामर्षी लोकाधिष्ठानमद्भुत:‌ ।। 95 ।।

886. अनन्तः anantaḥ Who is bereft of any extremity or limit.
887. हुतभुक् hutabhuk Who as blazing fire consumes all that is offered to it.
888. भोक्ता bhoktā Who enjoys Nature, like food.
889. सुखदः sukhadaḥ Who showers joyful freedom on seekers.
890. नैकजः naikajaḥ Who is born many times for upholding dharma and subduing adharma.
891. अग्रजः agrajaḥ Who was born before everything and every one came to be.
892. अनिर्विण्णः anirviṇṇaḥ Who is free from despondency and indifference, as he is bereft of desire and expectation.
893. सदामर्षी sadāmarṣī Who is tolerant and patient to good and noble people.
894. लोकाधिष्ठानम् lokādhiṣṭhānam Who is the support and substratum of the entire world.
895. अद्भुतः adbhutaḥ Who is the supreme wonder and amazement.

सनात्सनातनतम: कपिल: कपिरप्यय: । स्वस्तिद: स्वस्तिकृत्स्वस्ति स्वस्तिभुक् स्वस्तिदक्षिण:‌ ।। 96 ।।

896. सनात् sanāt Who is the very source of Time, which is his own display.
897. सनातनतमः sanātanatamaḥ Who is eternal, the cause of all, excelling all other long living agencies such as Brahma, the Creator and the like.
898. कपिलः Kapilaḥ Who is kapila, the lightly reddish fire, under the sea.
899. कपिः kapiḥ Who in the form of sun, drinks all the waters by its rays.
900. अप्ययः apyayaḥ Who has no decay or degeneration; who remains the substratum for dissolving the entire creation at the time of deluge.
901. स्वस्तिदः svastidaḥ Who always bestows blessings.
902. स्वस्तिकृत् svastikṛt Who does what is good to all.
903. स्वस्ति svasti Who is auspiciousness and blissfulness.
904. स्वस्तिभुक् svastibhuk Who relishes blissfulness Himself and also enjoys it residing in devotees.
905. स्वस्तिदक्षिणः svastidakṣiṇaḥ Who swells with bliss, also is dexterous in bestowing bliss.

अरौद्र: कुण्डली चक्री विक्रम्यूर्जितशासन: । शब्दातिग: शब्दसह: शिशिर: शर्वरीकर:‌ ।। 97 ।।

906. अरौद्र: araudraḥ Raudra includes action, attachment and anger. One bereft of these is fulfilled, hence is araudra.
907. कुण्डली kuṇḍalī Who is adorned with scintillating earrings.
908. चक्री cakrī Who wields discus to protect the entire creation.
909. विक्रमी vikramī In whom is valour personified.
910. ऊर्जितशासनः ūrjitaśāsanaḥ Who rules by the power of scriptures and allied texts.
911. शब्दातिगः śabdātigaḥ Who is above all words of description, as they refer only to the objects senses perceive and interact with.
912. शब्दसहः śabdasahaḥ Who nonetheless is revealed only by Scriptures.
913. शिशिरः śiśiraḥ Who is the only relief for the victims of threefold torments, caused by (i) one’s own mind and intellect (ii) calamities like floods, drought, cyclone, etc., as also (iii) snake bite, viral ills and the like.
914. शर्वरीकरः śarvarīkaraḥ Who causes the night of ignorance and brings bondage for the unillumined; equally the night of worldiness for the wise. The ignorant looks at the luminous Self as night. The Knower looks upon the wakeful world as night. (Bhagavad Gita 2.69)

अक्रूर: पेशलो दक्षो दक्षिण: क्षमिणां वर: । विद्वत्तमो वीतभय: पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तन:‌ ।। 98 ।।

915. अक्रूरः akrūraḥ Who is free of desires, hence amiable, gentle and considerate, without the least harshness and intolerance.
916. पेशलः peśalaḥ Who is beautiful in his actions, has a pleasing disposition, speech and appearance.
917. दक्षः dakṣaḥ Who is wise, dexterous and prompt in whatever he does, thinks and acts.
918. दक्षिणः dakṣiṇaḥ Who is effective in gaining whatever he aims at.
919. क्षमिणां वरः kṣamiṇāṃ varaḥ Who is excellent among those having patience and tolerance.
920. विद्वत्तमः vidvattamaḥ Who is the best among the wise.
921. वीतभयः vītabhayaḥ Who is free from the fear of having to manifest the bewildering creation.
922. पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तनः puṇyaśravaṇakīrtanaḥ To hear and sing the glory of whom is extremely holy and auspicious.

उत्तारणो दुष्कृतिहा पुण्यो दु:स्वप्ननाशन: । वीरहा रक्षण: सन्तो जीवन: पर्यवस्थित: ।। 99 ।।

923. उत्तारणः uttāraṇaḥ Who lifts devotees from worldliness safely.
924. दुष्कृतिहा duṣkṛtihā Who destroys sinful actions, also wicked people.
925. पुण्यः puṇyaḥ Who bestows holiness on those worshipping and revering Him.
926. दुःस्वप्ननाशनः duḥsvapnanāśanaḥ Who removes unpleasant and harmful dreams.
927. वीरहा vīrahā Who dispenses with the multiple worldly plights and fates, by bestowing liberation.
928. रक्षणः rakṣaṇaḥ Who seated in sattvaguna sustains the three worlds.
929. सन्त: santaḥ Who adhering to righteousness, subliminally enhances in people knowledge, humility, etc.
930. जीवनः jīvanaḥ Who is the power and force, like the five pranas, that sustain the jeevas.
931. पर्यवस्थितः paryavasthitaḥ Who is permeating throughout the universe.

अनन्तरूपोऽनन्तश्री: जितमन्युर्भयापह: । चतुरश्रो गभीरात्मा विदिशो व्यादिशो दिश: ।। 100 ।।

932. अनन्तरूपः anantarūpaḥ Who has numerous forms, because he resides everywhere in the universe.
933. अनन्तश्रीः anantaśrīḥ Who has endless glory.
934. जितमन्युः jitamanyuḥ Who has won over anger, due to his all-fold love and friendliness.
935. भयापहः bhayāpahaḥ Who redresses the worldly fears of beings.
936. चतुरश्रः caturaśraḥ Who is skilful in showering on jeevas the results of their actions.
937. गभीरात्मा gabhīrātmā Who is of immeasurable magnitude and potential.
938. विदिशः vidiśaḥ Who gives varying outcomes to individuals depending upon their ability and worth.
939. व्यादिशः vyādiśaḥ Who instructs Indra and others on their respective functions.
940. दिशः diśaḥ Who through Vedas grants the rewards for rituals and other actions to their performers.

अनादिर्भूभुवो लक्ष्मी: सुवीरो रुचिरांगद: । जननो जनजन्मादिर्भीमो भीमपराक्रम: ।। 101 ।।

941. अनादिः anādiḥ Who being the primordial cause for all is beginningless.
942. भूर्भुवः bh̄ūrbhuvaḥ Who is the support of the very earth that supports everything.
943. लक्ष्मीः lakṣmīḥ Who endows prosperity and wellbeing to the earth as he supports it.
944. सुवीरः suvīraḥ Who manifests in a variety of splendorous ways.
945. रुचिराङ्गदः rucirāṅgadaḥ Who wears enchanting armlets.
946. जननः jananaḥ Who instruments the life of multiple beings.
947. जनजन्मादिः janajanmādiḥ Who sources the birth of Jivas by gifting them bodies.
948. भीमः bhīmaḥ Who causes fear.
949. भीमपराक्रमः bhīmaparākramaḥ Who, by his incarnations, becomes a source of fright to the Asuras.

आधारनिलयोऽधाता पुष्पहास: प्रजागर: । ऊर्ध्वग: सत्पथाचार: प्राणद: प्रणव: पण: ।। 102 ।।

950. आधारनिलयः ādhārnilayaḥ Who is the support for the panchabhootas – earth, water, air, fire and sky.
951. अधाता adhātā Who is himself his support.
952. पुष्पहासः puṣpahāsaḥ Whose expression as the universe is like the buds blossoming.
953. प्रजागरः prajāgaraḥ Who is ever wakeful as he is the luminous Consciousness itself.
954. ऊर्ध्वगः ūrdhvagaḥ Who is moving above every one and all.
955. सत्पथाचारः satpathācāraḥ Who adheres to the ways of the good and noble.
956. प्राणदः prāṇadaḥ Who imbues life to the dead, as to Pareekshit.
957. प्रणवः praṇavaḥ Who as Om, the sound symbol, is inextricably linked to Brahman.
958. पणः paṇaḥ Who gives results and benefits of holy deeds to all depending upon what each has done.

प्रमाणं प्राणनिलय: प्राणभृत्प्राणजीवन: । तत्त्वं तत्त्वविदेकात्मा जन्ममृत्युजरातिग: ।। 103 ।।

959. प्रमाणम् pramāṇaṃ Who is the means of proof for himself, as he is Consciousness, revealing oneself and the others alike.
960. प्राणनिलय: prāṇanilayaḥ In whom all life forces dissolve.
961. प्राणभृत् prāṇabhṛt Who sustains the life forces.
962. प्राणजीवनः prāṇajīvanaḥ Who sustains humans with breath through prāṇa, apāna, vyāna, uḍāna and samāna.
963. तत्त्वम् tattvam Who is the presence denoted by the word ‘tat’, namely satyam, truth, amritam, the immortal, paramaartham, supreme reality, etc. These are not matter or energy.
964. तत्त्ववित् tattvavit Who knows His own true nature.
965. एकात्मा ekātmā Who is the sole Soul in all.
966. जन्ममृत्युजरातिगः janmamṛtyujarātigaḥ Who lives undergoing and transcending the six phases of birth, growth, change, decline and death.

भूर्भुव: स्वस्तरुस्तार: सविता प्रपितामह: । यज्ञो यज्ञपतिर्यज्वा यज्ञांगो यज्ञवाहन: ।। 104 ।।

967. भूर्भुवःस्वस्तरुः bhūrbhuvaḥsvastaruḥ bhūḥ, bhuvaḥ, suvaḥ are three utterances on which stands the huge tree of creation. They represent wakefulness, dream and sleep, the three states of our awareness, the sole basis for all our comprehensions and activities.
968. तारः tāraḥ Who leads jeevas to reach the shore of worldly ocean.
969. सविता savitā Who creates all worlds, outer and inner alike.
970. प्रपितामहः prapitāmahaḥ Who parents Brahma and consequently is the great grandfather of one and all in creation.
971. यज्ञः yajñaḥ Who manifests as yajña, sacrifice.
972. यज्ञपतिः yajñapatiḥ Who is the sole sustainer and Lord of all sacrifices.
973. यज्वा yajvā Who is the performer of sacrifices, the yajamāna.
974. यज्ञाङ्गः yajñāṅgaḥ Who is also all the limbs, like ladle, material offered, the fire, etc. of sacrifice.
975. यज्ञवाहनः yajñavāhanaḥ Who receives and carries the merits of yajñas and bestows their results.

यज्ञभृद्यज्ञकृद्यज्ञी यज्ञभुग्यज्ञसाधन: । यज्ञान्तकृद्यज्ञगुह्यमन्नमन्नाद एव च ।। 105 ।।

976. यज्ञभृत् yajñabhṛt Who safeguards and supports all yajñas.
977. यज्ञकृत् yajñakṛt Who preserves yajña by performing it in the beginning and protecting it in the end.
978. यज्ञी yajñī Who is the designer of the whole yajña and its performance.
979. यज्ञभुक् yajñabhuk Who is the Enjoyer of yajña.
980. यज्ञसाधनः yajñasādhanaḥ Who is attainable through yajña.
981. यज्ञान्तकृत् yajñāntakṛt Who alone is the result or reward of yajña.
982. यज्ञगुह्यम् yajñaguhyam Who is the jñāna yajña, Knowledge sacrifice, wherein knowledge of Brahman alone is the goal.
983. अन्नम् annam Who is the nourishing food of all, who himself is all beings, as they are the outcome of food and also preserved by food.
984. अन्नाद: annādaḥ Who is the consumer of food and nourishment.

आत्मयोनि: स्वयंजातो वैखान: सामगायन: । देवकीनन्दन: स्रष्टा क्षितीश: पापनाशन: ।। 106 ।।

985. आत्मयोनि: ātmayoniḥ Who as Self of all is their source as well, and hence excludes all material causes for creation of universe.
986. स्वयंंजात: svayaṃjātaḥ Who is the efficient cause as well in shaping the universe as a whole.
987. वैखान: vaikhānaḥ Who brought forth the earth, using a special form (Varāha) for the purpose.
988. सामगायन: sāmagāyanaḥ Who sings the musical Sāmavedic hymns.
989. देवकीनन्दन: devakīnandanaḥ Who was the delightful son of Devaki.
990. स्रष्टा sraṣṭā Who is ever the creator of all.
991. क्षितीश: kṣitīśaḥ Who is the Lord of earth, as Shri Rama.
992. पापनाशन: pāpanāśanaḥ Who destroys all sins of those who adore him by contemplating upon, remembering and eulogizing him.

शंखभृन्नन्दकी चक्री शार्ङ्गधन्वा गदाधर: । रथांगपाणिरक्षोभ्य: सर्वप्रहणायुध: ।। 107 ।।

993. शंखभृत् śaṅkhabhṛt Who wears the conch called Panchajanya.
994. नन्दकी nandakī Who in His hand carries the glittering sword Nandaka.
995. चक्री cakrī Who has the discus Sudarshana.
996. शार्ङ्गधन्वा śārṅgadhanvā Who wields the śārṅga bow.
997. गदाधर: gadādharaḥ Who has mace called Kaumodaki.
998. रथांगपाणि: rathāṅgapāṇiḥ Who has wheel, Chakra, in his hand.
999. अक्षोभ्य: akṣobhyaḥ Who cannot be agitated over anything.
1000. सर्वप्रहरणायुध: sarvapraharaṇāyudhaḥ Who has all kinds of weapons to face enemies.

श्री सर्वप्रहणायुध ओं नम इति ।।

यदक्षरपदभ्रष्टं मात्राहीनं तु यद्‌भवेत्‌। तत्सर्वं क्षम्यतां देव नारायण नमोऽस्तु ते ।।

अन्यथा शरणं नास्ति त्वमेव शरणं मम । तस्मात् कारुण्यभावेन रक्ष रक्ष महाप्रभो ।।
